Arthur Anderson, 73, of Crane, TX, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026. He was born on April 11, 1953, in Alta, Iowa, to parents Richard and Darlene. Andy was a lifelong truck driver and had many stories to share of the places he saw across the continental U.S. He married Phyllis Hickey on June 8, 1991, and together they shared 35 years of raising kids, maintaining careers, and taking trips with their grandkids to the mountains of Cloudcroft, NM.

Loving his wife Phyllis was Andy’s #1 priority, and he did it like no one else could. Being a dad to Brian and Kasey was icing on the cake because he didn’t have to be, but he stepped in and stepped up. Andy was always a giant in the house — the strong one. And even the strongest meet their match. We lost a husband, brother, PaPa, and Dad on September 6th.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Darlene Anderson, his in-laws Scott and Martha Hickey, and his sister-in-law Dianna Hickey.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Hickey Anderson; brother Brian Anderson and wife Janis; brother Clint Anderson and wife Jo; son Flint Anderson, wife Dezarie, and their kids and grandkids; son Brian Williamson and wife Sarah; daughter Debbie Martin and husband Charles; daughter Shauncey Maver and husband Frank; and daughter Kasey Leech and husband Aaron. He is also survived by his granddaughters Krishtian Maver, Addie Maver, Haleigh Leech, Taylor Leech, and one grandson Gideon Maver. He was blessed to have many great-grandsons and great-granddaughters, friends, and family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 101 E. 20th St, Crane, TX.
