Brandon Cole Lance came into the world on May 16, 1984, to his parents Rose Mary A. Lance Ferguson and Neal E. Lance in Rankin, Texas.

He attended Rankin ISD until his Sophomore year, and he then went on to graduate from Seaborne Military Academy in Galveston, Texas on June 30, 2001, at the age of 17. He went on to attend Sul Ross University in Alpine after his graduation for a few semesters, where he studied Geology. Since childhood, he loved rocks, fossils, and spending time hunting and exploring for them. He also enjoyed being outdoors and camping out, roughing it, and living off the grid, where he would forage for food and enjoyed some of his greatest adventures. Brandon loved cooking and he would offer to cook a meal if one would allow. As many that knew him would know he was a restless soul and enjoyed his own company. His resting place was just as he loved to be, beside a river in the forest.

Brandon was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, Mauro and Estefana Armendarez, and Neal Sr. and Leandrita Lance.

He is survived by his mother Rose Mary A. Ferguson and stepfather Ricky Ferguson; father Neal E. Lance; his siblings Joseph L. Armendarez (Gloria), Stephanie L. Brown (Brandon), and Garrett N. Lance (Callie); 8 nephews and 2 nieces; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
