Cynthia Lwana Turner, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 6th 2026 at the age of 60.
Born on December 28th, 1965, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Cindy lived a life defined by love, resilience, and devotion to her family. Above all else, she was a mother — nurturing, protective, and endlessly giving. Her children were the center of her world, and her love for them shaped every part of her life.
Cindy was known for her kindness, strength, humor, and compassion. She had a way of making people feel safe, welcomed, and loved, and her presence brought comfort to those around her. Whether through small daily acts, advice, cooking, listening, or support, she gave more of herself than she ever asked in return.
She is survived by her loving husband, Otis Harold Turner; her two sons, Austin Ryan Turner and Kaleb Aaron Turner; her mother, Colleen Simpson; her sister, Elizabeth Simpson; and her four brothers, Kevin Simpson, Les Simpson, Gary Simpson, and Richard Simpson, all of whom will carry her love with them always. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Simpson, and her daughter, Brittany R. Turner.
A memorial service honoring her life will be held on January 24, 2026, at 2:00pm at the Crane County Cemetery in Crane, Texas. In accordance with her wishes, Cindy was cremated, and this gathering will serve as a celebration of her life, love, and lasting impact.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Cindy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, in the memories she created, and in the love she gave so freely.
