Darcey was a devoted wife, a remarkable mother, a loving Nona, a cherished sister, and a loyal friend. She loved her family fiercely and without condition. As a mother, she was strong, nurturing, protective, and endlessly supportive—always placing her children first and standing beside them through every season of life. As a Nona, she found her greatest joy in her grandchildren, pouring into them with love, laughter, guidance, and pride. Darcey took great pride in serving her community. She was actively involved with McCamey Operation Pride (MOP) for many years. In 2013, she began her career as a dispatcher and jailer, answering a calling to serve others. In 2016, she was promoted to Jail Administrator, a role she fulfilled with commitment, dedication, and compassion. Darcey truly loved her job, and her loyalty, leadership, and willingness to help others were evident in everything she did. Her kindness, professionalism, and service left a lasting impact on her coworkers, the department, and the McCamey community.
Darcey is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Leon Lynch; her son, Billy Neal Lynch; and her parents, Norma Jean and Erbie Hercel Harris.
She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Kay Lynch of McCamey, Texas; Rachel Le Lynch of Midland, Texas; and Kristy Gail McDonald and husband Lance of Midland, Texas; and Kara Elaine Trevino and husband Joe Angel of Andrews, Texas.
