Deborah "Deb" Ausbern

Deborah "Deb" Lynn Ausbern, born August 3, 1951, in Akron, OH. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 21, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Deb was an avid bowler "back in the day" and thoroughly enjoyed home-style canning, cooking, baking and crocheting beautiful afghans for all her friends and family.

She was probably the most loyal Dallas Cowboys fan you can find these days, win or lose! She also adored Betty Boop and had quite an extensive collection.

She moved to Odessa, Texas in January 2007 from Hobbs, NM where she had lived since 2001.

Deb is survived by her husband, Tommy Ausbern, formerly of Hobbs, their six children, Lonnie Dale Gibson and wife Karla of Hobbs, NM, Chrystie Palomo and husband Phillip of Daegu Republic of Korea, Billy Paul Hill and wife Misty of Rockwell, NC, and Laurie Hood and husband Joseph of Winters, TX, Tommy Ausbern, Jr. and wife Rachel of Tomball, TX, and Randy Ausbern and wife Allison of Fort Worth, TX. She was known as Granny D to her 20 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Nancy Bishop and husband Robert of Edmond OK, Kathy Thomason and husband Don, and Sue Ellen Smouse, all of Oklahoma City, OK; niece Rhonda Johnson and husband Buzz of Odessa, TX; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
