Dorothy Martinez Barcenas

Dorothy Martinez Barcenas, 75, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Dorothy was born on June 5, 1950, in Ballinger, Texas. She was a hairdresser and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Lopez Martinez and Hortencia Molina Martinez; her son, Daniel Barriga; sister, Juanita Franco; brother, Willie Martinez; and husband, Juan Efrain Barcenas.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Padilla and her husband Dario; grandchildren, Daniel Padilla and Juliana Urbina, Dario Padilla Jr., Leonardo Padilla, Juan Diego Padilla, Christina Padilla, and Thomas Padilla; great granddaughter, Tatiana Padilla; sister, Lupe Martinez; and multiple God children.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 9am to 9pm, with Rosary being said at 7pm at the Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey. Mass will be held at 11am on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Resthaven Cemetery.
