Eva Valenzuela, 97, from McCamey, Texas, passed away peacefully November 7, 2025. She was born and raised in Fort Stockton, Texas on September 24, 1928.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Saturnino and Tomasita Gonzales, and by the love of her life, Luis Valenzuela Sr. They were married for 63 years.
She is survived by her children Olga Venegas (late husband Oscar), Luis Valenzula Jr. and Teresa, Rachel Carrasco and Saul, David Valenzuela and Laura.
Eva married Luis Valenzuela on August 22, 1948, in Fort Stockton and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. Eva was a woman of great faith, a true God-fearing woman. She loved unconditionally, gave selflessly, laughed often and blessed many by sharing the gift God gave her…Her Heart! She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother as well as a caring and amazing friend! God blessed us with her for 97 beautiful years full of many cherished moments and she held on as long as she could for us, but God has His perfect plan and Heaven needed another angel! Rest in peace and rejoice in Heaven and know the imprint you left is eternal.
She is also survived by her grandchildren whom she loved and cherished very much: Dionne Franco (Arturo), Omar Venegas, Ray Zamora (Heather), Ruby Routh (David), Leonard Carrasco (Sarah), David Mark Valenzuela Jr (Lynette), Odelia Savala (Roy), Ashley Valenzuela, Luis Valenzuela III, Diego Valenzuela, Reaghan Valenzuela, Haley Abalos (Javier), Austin Velasquez (Carissa), Maykala, Abby, and Brandon Velasquez.
Her great grandchildren are: Adric Gonzalez, Devyn Zamora, Genesis DeLeon, Tatiana Franco, Abigail Gaitan, Zadyn Zamora, Jolie Gaitan, Romyn Zamora, Jon Luke Gaitan Brooklyn Zamora, Abrianna Savala, Devian Valenzuela, Eva Reigh Valenzuela, Miles and Lilian Velasquez, and Mateo Franco.
Celebration of her life is as follows: Monday, November 10, 2025, Viewing starts at 11:00am with Rosary at 7:00pm at the Nichols Funeral Home in McCamey. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Mass will be held at 2:00pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following in the Resthaven Cemetery in McCamey. Pallbearers will be Omar Venegas, Ray Zamora, Leonard Carrasco, David Mark Valenzuela Jr., Luis Valenzuela III, and Diego Valenzuela. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Velasquez and Brandon Velasquez.
