Floyd Smith

April 19, 1947 — June 13, 2018

Floyd Earl Smith, 71, of Crane, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 15, 2018, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Crane. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery with arrangements under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

Floyd was born on April 19, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Billy and Lorretta Roussarie Smith. He was an Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam. Floyd married Kay Heiser in 1967 in Crane, Texas.
Floyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, and arrowhead hunting. He loved spending time setting in his garage visiting with family and friends. Floyd also was a avid roller-coaster rider.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kay; his son, Paul Smith and his wife Michelle; his daughter, Josie Smith; adopted daughter, Jaci Ellison; sisters,
Donna Gray and her husband Gary; and Liz Taylor; his brother, Jerry Smith and his wife Peggy; his grandchildren- Sidnie, Lagen, Shandon, Madison, Megan, Morgan, Landri, Kaylee, and Hunter;
Great-grandchildren-Kasen, Isabella, Nicholas, Bentley, Weston, Evelyn, Ella, and Connor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Permian Basin Honor Flight.
