Max is also survived by his sisters Teri, Cindy, Gina, brother Randy and their spouses along with many nieces and nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
Max was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie, his parents, Howard Leon Ramsey and Gwen Margarete Ramsey.
Max was born in McCamey TX on July 29, 1955, and raised in Iraan, TX where he grew up and playing football, basketball and ran track. He was a 1972 graduate of Iraan High School. Max worked in the oilfield his whole life and that job took him all over the world. His family had many adventures and made wonderful memories in the world related to his job and just being a family. He had an infectious smile and never met a stranger. He had a servant’s heart and loved helping people, always the first to volunteer to help out. His family was one of the most important parts of his life, the Lord and his beliefs being first. He loved his grandchildren more than life itself; they were his greatest joy. He received so much enjoyment hunting and fishing with them, as he was an avid fisherman and hunter, playing with them when he could and spending every spare moment with them. He also loved working on cars and was ready to teach any of the grandchildren if they had an interest to learn. He was known to the grandchildren as “Papa” to some and “Papaw” to others. Besides his family, he leaves many friends behind as he touched the lives of everyone he came into contact with. He will truly be missed by all those that loved and knew him.
