Jeannine died on Monday, January 14, 2026, living a wonderful life on earth of 90 years and 198 days, before beginning eternity with Jesus. She was a resident and the life of the daily party at Avir Nursing Home in Kingsland Texas.
Jeannine was born to Henry & Simone Degagne on July 1, 1935, in Lowell Massachusetts.
Jeannine had 5 siblings, Beatris, Richard, Loraine, Jackie, and Ray.
Jeannine met Lewey JE Brents in the early 1950’s when he served in the army. They were married in Lowel Massachusetts then moved to Crane Texas after Lewey was honorably discharged from the army.
Jeannine had 4 wonderful children: Robie Dale, Kenneth Ray “Butch”, Steve Lewey & Jeannie Sue.
Jeannine held many jobs over the years including waitressing at local restaurants, ironing clothes for individuals, and providing janitorial services to businesses in Crane.
Jeannine was married to Harlod Wayne Angel on February 24th, 1971, and resided in Crane where she received her beautician license and worked at local beauty shops Evelyn’s and Gloria’s before opening her own beauty shop.
Jeannine & Wayne moved to Albany, Texas in the mid 1980’s where she continued to work in hair salons until retiring.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Beatris, Loraine, Jackie and Ray; her first husband Lewey JE Brents, husband Harold Wayne Angel; son Steve Lewey Brents; and grandson Jaxon Dan McDougal.
She is survived by her brother Philip Richard of 96 years; one son Kenneth Brents and wife Cherri of Crane, two daughters, Dale McDougal and husband Evert of Helotes Texas, Jeannie Pugh and husband Brad of Kingsland Texas; grandchildren – Jerrod McDougal of Helotes Texas; Jason Brents and wife Christina of Midland; Brian Brents and wife Meghan of Crane; Paula Taylor and husband Kris of San Antonio, Texas; Melissa Mair and husband Matt of Kingsland Texas, and Tanner Huston of Kingsland Texas; 16 great grandchildren and 7 great - great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 10am until 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in the Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane. Services will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel.
