November 6, 1965 – June 10, 2025
Jesse Esquivel, 59, of Crane, Texas, passed away surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 6, 1965, in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico, Jesse made his life and legacy in Crane, where he lived for most of his years.
A hardworking man from a young age, Jesse began his career in the oilfield at just 16 years old and remained dedicated to that work throughout his life. Known for his strong work ethic and even stronger love for his family, Jesse was the heart of his home and the grill master of every gathering.
He found joy in the simple things: tending to his goats, watching movies, and starting each morning with a warm cup of coffee at the kitchen table with his beloved wife, Sarah Esquivel. Their quiet morning routine was a testament to the deep bond they shared.
Jesse’s proudest role was being Wito to his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and laughter. He was a steady, loving presence in their lives, always ready with a smile and open arms.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah; his children, Jesus Esquivel Jr. and wife Lize, Josue Esquivel, and Macy Gomez and husband Nestor; his cherished grandchildren, Kailey Brandon, Mason Esquivel, Jacey Esquivel, and Liam Esquivel. He is also survived by his siblings: Rodolfo Esquivel; Gerardo Esquivel; Luis Esquivel and wife Magdalena Martinez; Baldomero Esquivel and wife Laura; Nicolas Esquivel and wife Jacoba; Carmen and husband Adrian Arriaza; and Guadalupe and husband Jorge Mercado; Elizabeth Hernandez;
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria and Natividad Esquivel.
He will be deeply missed by many dear family members and friends, as well as countless nieces and nephews whose lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and generous spirit. Jesse will be remembered for his laughter, his loyalty, and his unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and quiet strength.
