John Elwood Boyd

John Elwood Boyd passed away on August 30, 2026. Born in New Mexico, John spent most of his life in Rankin, where he built a quite life centered around ranching, carpentry, and woodworking.

In his younger years, John enjoyed rodeoing and carried his love of the Western way of life throughout his years. He was a dedicated rancher and a very talented woodworker, taking pride in the things he could create with his own hands.

John was preceded in death by his son, John Elwood Boyd II.

He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Boyd; his daughters, Kristen Scott and Jonnell Beaird; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
