John "Homer" Henry Raglen III, 56, of Rankin, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 in Rankin.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Rankin Cemetery with Reverend Trey Johnson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Homer was born on June 30, 1955 in Big Spring, Texas. He is survived by his sister, Sheryl Wescott of Mertzon, Texas; the Owens Family of Rankin, Texas, Tommy, Edra, Shanna, Cody, Kyle, Corey, Mitchell, Courtney, and Carter; his niece Kelli Councilman and and her husband Randy, and their son Kaden all of Mertzon; and a nephew, Casey Wescott and his wife Candyce and their children Channing and Cannan Wescott, all of Granbury, Texas.
Homer was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Raglen; and his parents, John and Floretta Raglen.
Homer resided in Rankin, Texas where he worked as a ranch foreman and top hand of the Circle T Rodeo Company. Homer was active in the community and always enjoyed a good time.
Homer's heart of gold and dedication to his community will never be forgotten. GO RED DEVILS!!
