Otha Lee Tipton Jr.

Otha Lee Tipton Jr. passed from this life October 27th, 2025, at the age of 68, peacefully in his home with those he loved by his side.

Otha Lee Tipton Jr. was born March 7,1957 in Oregon to Lu’Vada Lanning (Tipton) and Otha Lee Tipton Sr.

Otha married his wife Sherry Tipton in Texas in 1983 and raised 2 wonderful sons James and Curtis. Otha’s best part of life was when his Grandchildren came along, they were the light of his life, and they all had a special bond with Papa/Grandpa. Each one of them had him wrapped around their little fingers.

Otha is survived by his Sons James Tipton and wife Kristi, and Glenn (Curtis) Tipton and wife Victoria. Grandchildren Bryson Tipton, Dylan Tipton, RJ, Teagan, Madilynn Tipton, and Liam Tipton. Sisters Ruby (Coleen), Monica Buchanan and husband Jerry, Cathrine Johansen, Margaret Strauss and husband Pat, and Terri Henderson. Brothers Jerry Tipton and wife Bobbi, David Tipton and wife Lore. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his Loving wife Sherry Tipton. His parents Otha Lee Tipton Sr. and Lu’Vada Tipton, his brothers Sherman Tipton, Earl Tipton, Garry Tipton, and Danny Joe Tipton.

While he may not be here on Earth, he will forever live on through the wonderful memories he has made through the journey of life.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Aguirre, Allen Ferguson, Ricky Tipton, Saxon Smith, Louis Joseph, Bryson Tipton, Dylan Tipton.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 3pm, at the Crane County Cemetery.
