Patricia Ann "Patti"
Rainer
November 26, 1955 – May 15, 2026
Patricia Ann Rainer, lovingly known as Patti, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and faithful friend whose kindness and strength touched the lives of so many.
Patti was born on November 26, 1955, in Oklahoma, to Dolores Crocker and Dewitt Pope. She was raised in El Paso, Texas, where she graduated from Ysleta High School. In 1974, she married Lester Rainer, and together they built a beautiful life and raised their family in Sonora, Texas.
Throughout her life, Patti was known by many names to those who loved her most. To her siblings and cousins, she was Trish. To friends and coworkers, she was Patti. To her children, she was Mom. But her favorite title of all was “Anni,” the loving name given to her by her beloved grandchildren.
Patti was a devoted member of the Six-Shooter Church and a proud sister in Christ. Her faith carried her through life’s joys and hardships, and she shared that faith through her compassion, generosity, and unwavering love for others. Patti enjoyed getting together with friends, playing games, especially Bunco and clog dancing. At the time of her passing, Patti was living and working in Sonora, Texas, where she was friendly to everyone in the community.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Olan and Lulu George; her sister, Laura McArthur; and her brother, Mark McArthur.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Bart Vermillion and Elton Pope; her son, Raymond Rainer and wife Ashley; her daughter, Raven Wright and husband Erik; and her treasured grandchildren, Whiskey, Sutton Weller, Ashton, and Trey. All of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. Along with her beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Iraan General Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness shown to Patti during her final days.
Patti’s love, faith, laughter, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
