In Loving Memory of Pilar Quíntela Rodríguez
October 12, 1946 – September 4, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pilar Quíntela Rodríguez, who passed away on September 4, 2026. Pilar was born on October 12, 1946, and was a beloved longtime resident of McCamey, Texas.
Pilar was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Baltazar Rodríguez, and her children, Gasper Rodríguez and Marina Rodríguez.
Pilar leaves behind her loving children and their families to carry on her legacy and cherish her memory: Francisca and Rene Acosta of Odessa; Juana and her husband Carlos Luján of McCamey; Gasper and his wife Irene Rodríguez of Monahans; Minerva and her husband Genaro Rodríguez of Midland; Homero Rodríguez of McCamey; Marina and Matthew Ramirez of McCamey; Erika Rodríguez of McCamey; Isael Rodríguez of Terlingua; and Edith Rodríguez of Odessa.
She also leaves behind 30 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, and 1 great children who were a very special part of her life and will forever carry her love and memories in their hearts.
Pilar was a hardworking woman who dedicated much of her life to caring for and providing for her family. She worked for many years as a dishwasher at Elena’s Kitchen, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.
One of Pilar’s greatest joys was cooking for her entire family. She loved preparing meals for her loved ones and enjoyed having her family gathered around the table. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her children and creating memories that will remain in their hearts forever.
Pilar also loved dancing and dressing up beautifully. She loved wearing her dresses and, especially, her high heels. Her personality, her sense of style, and her joy for life will forever be treasured by her family.
Pilar will be deeply missed, but her love, lessons, and the memories she created will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
Although we can no longer see her or hold her, her love will continue to live in every heart she touched.
Forever loved.
Forever remembered.
Forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Pilar.
Your family will carry your love with them always.
