Rita Lucy Rosales, 73, of San Angelo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in San Angelo.

She was born on December 29, 1952, in Big Lake to her parents, Fidencio Martinez and Juanita Martinez, who preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her son Johnny Rosales, Jr., and her in-laws, Pedro and Fidelia Rosales.

She is survived by her loving husband, Juan Antonio Rosales, her son, and daughter-in-law: Joe Anthony Rosales (married to Betty Rosales), Mary Lynn Rosales (married to late Johnny Anthony Rosales, Jr).Her brother and sisters: Jimmy Martinez (married to Rosa Martinez), Edna Aguilar (married to Adolfo Aguilar), and Gloria Lopez (married to Robert Rosales). Rita was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren: Robert Rosales, Travis Rosales (married to Jalen Rosales), Isabel Anderson (married to Dalton Anderson), Anthony Rosales (married to Vic Rosales), Jonathon Rosales-Nowlin (married to Lela Nowlin), Mirum Anderson (daughter of Dalton and Isabel), Corbin Anderson (son of Dalton and Isabel). She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, beginning at 3:00 PM at the Iraan Civic Center, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM Monday, April 27. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Iraan Civic Center followed by burial at Restland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Rosales, Juan Barrera, Jimmy Joe Martinez, Jason Martinez, Jeremy Martinez, Anthony Rosales, and Jonathan Rosales.
