In loving memory of our Mother, Sylvia Grado Cruz
August 24, 1960 - October 31, 2023
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, whose laughter could light up a room! She was known by many for her love of cooking. In the kitchen, in the echoes of her laughter, and in the joyful gatherings she enlivened, Mom will always be with us. Her love, laughter and culinary creations will remain a cherished part of our lives. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the wonderful life she lived.
Sylvia Grado Cruz was preceded in death by her Father, Nieves Grado, Mother, Olaya Grado, and baby sister, Yolanda Grado.
Sylvia Cruz is survived by her husband Julio Escobedo Cruz, she is survived by three sisters, Luz Elena Cruz (late husband Albino), Gloria Cruz (husband, Martin), Iliana Lozano (husband, Jacob), five brothers, Ralph Grado (late wife, Anna), Victor Grado, Oscar Flores, (wife, Mary), Nieves Grado Jr., and Eduardo Grado. Her children, Elizabeth Cruz (husband, Marco Sr.) Rebecca Cruz, (wife, Alise Gaitan) Danny Cruz (wife, Leayh Mapp), Claudia Gay (husband, Casey). Sylvia Cruz is also survived by her four grandchildren, Bryanna Martinez, Marco Martinez, Jr., Aryanna Martinez and Juliana Gay.
